University of Denver | Daniels College of Business
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Marketing
Admitted in the Fall of 2015 with a Provost scholarship and Direct Admission to the Daniels College of Business, I have spent my undergraduate career obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Marketing with minors in Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Business Ethics & Legal Studies.
The Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver has prepared me for the technological and strategic requirements that the workplace will demand. Through courses such as Gateway to Business, a class that provides an overview of business and requires students to create a business plan and pitch their idea, to Business Ethics and Legal Studies, experiential learning is a focus of professors and projects. Many business schools do not take the time to align a curriculum with the ever-changing demands of employers and the marketplace. Additionally, the Daniels College of Business required students to take classes in all areas of business to expose them to areas outside of their concentration or major. Marketing classes at the Daniels College of Business revolve around traditional advertising, social media, digital marketing, and the technologies used in each of these industries and the relevant positions.
In many courses, I have created pitch decks, print and digital campaigns, and TV spots for various companies. The following list represents relevant coursework as it relates to digital marketing, market research, and market/consumer behavior:
- Global Product Innovation
- Integrative Marketing Strategy
- Digital Marketing
- Technology in Marketing: South by Southwest (Travel Course)
- Creative Advertising Strategy
- Consumer Behavior
- Methods of Marketing Research
